In Chapter 10 of #NeverAgain, we meet Dr. Christian Pfeiffer who is testifying in the Braxton trial.
For many years Dr. Pfeiffer was the Director of the Kriminologische Forschungsinstitut Niedersachsen, or Criminological Research Institute of Lower Saxony in Germany. He was responsible for the surveys that discovered that corporal punishment is the common denominator in the upbringing of violent criminals.
For 10 years Dr. Pfeiffer led the charge to get a law passed in Germany outlawing corporal punishment anywhere – in homes and in schools. In 2000 he finally succeeded, and since then violent crime has decreased 59% among children.
